Abstract Art Class with Ursula Crosbie Sat.Oct 1st & Sun.2nd-22 $150 + you bring your own materials.
Come out and express your inner Artist. Acrylic abstract expressionism is fun, and easy to try a number of different techniques. 2 x 3 hour sessions.
Ursula will walk you through experimenting with materials and help you find aspects that resonate with you:)
Materials to bring:
Paint: Black, White, any Yellow, any Red and any Blue are essential. If you want to bring more colours, contact the gallery for a more in depth list.Â
Most brushes can be used for acrylic, along with fingers and sponges. Get a couple of sizes, 1/2″ to 1″ in either flats or filberts (rounded brush) and one or two larger brushes, one flat and one round for blending, For this workshop I recommend inexpensive materials. Start at dollar store for most supplies. Synthetic house painting brushes are fine or old make up brushes.
Bring your choice of canvas, canvas boards, masonite panels. 8″ x 10″ or 12″ x 16″ range are good sizes for a workshop. Better to complete more work, and experiment. My preference is canvas.Â
Small Spray bottles from the dollar store.
Your pallet should be flat, it can be glass, white plastic or disposable. Also bring paper towels and water cup or container such as a tall yogurt container.
